Man charged with kidnapping woman

Investigators with the Goldsboro Police Department arrested and charged a man suspected of kidnapping and assault Thursday.
Tony Foster Patrick, 40, was arrested at his home at 1804 S. Slocumb St. without incident and charged with first-degree kidnapping and assault inflicting bodily injury, according to a press release.
Patrick allegedly stopped Lisa Thomas Saunders, of Goldsboro, while she was walking along Horseshoe Drive and forced her into his truck.
Ms. Saunders alleged that Patrick brought her to his home and assaulted her.
She was able to get the Wayne County Magistrate's Office to report the incident and investigators were called in from the Goldsboro Police Department.
Patrick was placed in the Wayne County Jail and held under a $110,000 secured bond.
