Help us get local children ready to head back to school

With the start of school just around the corner, The News-Argus is once again aiming to help students in need by collecting notebooks, pencils, paper, folders, backpacks -- any and every thing that students will need when the classroom doors open next month.
The "Stuff the Bus" campaign is under way and anyone wishing to make a donation of school supplies, or money, just needs to drop by the newspaper at 310 N. Berkeley Blvd.
The campaign will culminate Friday, Aug. 2, when a school bus will be parked in front of the newspaper office from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. to collect supplies.
Please help a student who might not be able to purchase needed supplies before school starts. All items and money will be turned over to Communities in Schools, who will distribute them to local students.
