Host families are being sought for foreign students visiting America this summer through the Terra Lingua/Terre des Langues program sponsored by East Carolina University.
Families are currently being sought for eight French students spending a month in eastern North Carolina from July 8-Aug. 3.
There are six boys and two girls.
Wayne County has proven to be one of the top counties in the region for providing a welcome to these students, who speak English and come with their own spending money, according to East Carolina professor Frederic Fladenmuller, who oversees the program.
Host families do not have to have children and can be grandparents wanting to learn more about the students culture as they learn about ours.
