In a tradition that has lasted more than 15 years, host families are being sought in the Goldsboro area for visiting students from Europe through the Terr Linga Terra Linques program out of East Carolina University.
Eight high school students from France and Spain, ages 14-18, accompanied by one language teacher will be arriving June 14 - July 8 or July 8 - Aug. 3 for French students and June 25 - July 23 for Spanish students.
The exchange students will not attend classes but rather participate in their host families' daily life and activities, including possible excursions.
Each student has a minimum proficiency level in English, is fully insured and brings spending money. Hosts need not to have children to qualify. After a personal home visit, each student or foreign language teacher will be matched individually.
Families are encouraged to apply promptly by calling 252-754-2136, or e-mail at Fladenmullerf@ecu.edu; TLTLHOST.COM for an application.
