Arrest made in home invasion

An arrest has been made in the investigation into a May home invasion.
During the May 9 attack, Daryl Williams, 60, was beaten.
Quinton Lamont Kenon, 25, of 209 Neil St., has been placed in the Wayne County Jail under a $400,000 secured bond on charges of first-degree burglary and robbery with a dangerous weapon in connection with the attack.
Kenon was out on bond from a previous charge of felony possession of a firearm by a felon and several misdemeanor charges not specified in the report.
He is one of three men found not guilty a year ago in the 2008 murder of Brookside Air Market owner Rhibi Muhammed Khandil.
According to the report on the May 9 incident, the homeowner, Montrey S. Kornegay, 41, arrived home after 3 a.m. and noticed her front door open. She ducked around the corner in time to avoid being spotted as three black males ran from the home.
Ms. Kornegay slipped inside and found Williams bloodied from his encounter with the assailants, who stole $600 and other items as they held him on the floor at gunpoint.
Ms. Kornegay told police Williams said he gave up the money because he was afraid he would be shot.
Further arrests are anticipated, but police are still seeking assistance from the community.
