Goldsboro city officials announced today that Assistant City Manager Tasha Logan will be leaving on May 13.
She will be taking the assistant city manager position in Rocky Mount.
"We are sorry to see her leave, but this a wonderful opportunity for her," city spokeswoman Kim Best said.
Ms. Logan has worked for the city since 2004 when she began as an administrative assistant to the city manager. Then in 2005 she was promoted to assistant city manager.
Also announced today was the hiring of Jose Martinez as the new director of public works. He replaced Neil Bartlett who retired in December and served in an interim capacity until March 28.
