"Animals of Wonderland" organizers have canceled the raffle of a pug puppy. All other events planned for this Saturday remain unchanged.
"We are looking forward to a great event that promotes the mission of the Wayne County Humane Society and the Wayne County Animal Shelter," organizers said in a press release. "There will be numerous groups involved in the 'Animals in Wonderland' event to be held at the Center Street Jam Area on Saturday to share their services and to answer questions related to pets.
"We hope everyone will come out and support the animals of Wayne County at the morning event and at the two Paramount (Theatre) shows to be held at 2 and 7 p.m. There will be an adoption information booth at the event for those people interested in securing a pet through the Wayne County Animal Shelter."
Tickets for the performance are $25 for adults and $15 for children. During the matinee only, an adult who purchases a $25 ticket will be entitled to a free child's ticket.
All proceeds will benefit the Wayne County Animal Adoption and Education Center and the Wayne County Humane Society.
A "Morning Wonderland" will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Center Street Jam area downtown.
In case of inclement weather, the morning events will be held in the Zwerling Performing Arts Center in the old Acme Theatre.
