The BelkGives on the Go Mobile Mammography Center is making a stop in Goldsboro Thursday to offer free screenings for local women.

The unit is a 39-foot long state-of-the-art screening center on wheels.

Exams will be performed by licensed female mammography-certified technologists from Charlotte Radiologists.

Board-certified radiologists specializing in breast imaging will interpret the mammogram and send the confidential results to each patient and her primary care physician.

Women must be 40 or older with no breast cancer concerns who have not had a mammogram in the past 12 months.

If you have insurance of any kind, you must present your insurance card at the time of the mammogram, but the screening will be free to the patient.

The screenings will be conducted at the Berkeley Mall Belk Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.

To find a screening in another city close to Wayne County, call 1-855-655-2662. Afternoon openings are still available Saturday at Vernon Park Mall in Kinston.
