Arrest made in Lincoln Drive assault, robbery

Goldsboro police officers investigating the common law robbery of 21-year-old Lamarr Ordaniel Whitfield have made an arrest and expect more will follow.
Denisha Lashonda Todd, 18, of 1204 Ben Brewington Court, was arrested at 9:30 a.m. Thursday in the 900 block of Slocumb Street. She was charged with common law robbery and held under a $10,000 secured bond pending a first appearance scheduled for Feb. 4.
Whitfield was assaulted and robbed after leaving a store on Olivia Lane. He was initially chased to an open area near Lincoln Drive and Poplar Street where he was beaten. The suspects took his watch and ball cap valued at a combined $235.
