Two arrested for cocaine possession

The Wayne County Sheriff's Office Aggressive Criminal Enforcement team conducted a traffic stop Monday that led to two arrests and the seizure of more than four ounces of cocaine.

According to a press release issued by the Wayne County Sheriff's Office, Brandon James Howell, 32, of Parks Ridge Road in Goldsboro and Luis Saucedo Jr., 32, of Lucama, were both charged with two counts of cocaine trafficking.

The two men were stopped in a 1997 Nissan two-door truck at about 9 p.m. Monday along U.S.117 North in front of Charles B. Aycock High School in Pikeville.

Saucedo and Howell were in possession of 137 grams of powder cocaine, according to the report filed by Deputy Rex Hatch.

Each is being held in the Wayne County Jail under $1 million secured bond.
