There's still time to help provide Christmas for a local needy child

The stockings are being stuffed. The gift boxes are being packed. All is being readied for the Empty Stocking Fund party to be held Saturday. But donations to cover the cost of the party and the gifts for hundreds of needy youngsters are still lagging. Please consider making a donation to the fund so that a century-old charity that bespeaks the generosity of the people of Goldsboro and Wayne County will go on. Donations can be sent to: ESF, P.O. Box 10629, Goldsboro, NC 27532, or just dropped off at The News-Argus offices at 310 N. Berkeley Blvd.
