Members of the Goldsboro Police Department's Warrants Division and Housing Authority arrested Sean Edward Best, 23, of 557 Dollard Town Road, on Tuesday on charges of second-degree kidnapping, first-degree rape and first-degree forcible sexual offense.
The rape charges stem from allegations filed Saturday by the reported victim, whose name is being withheld.
According to a news release from the police department, Best forced the victim into a room at the Best Value Inn and sexually assaulted her.
An investigation was conducted and sufficient cause was discovered to secure a warrant for his arrest.
Best was picked up Tuesday without incident and placed in the Wayne County Jail under a $500,000 secured bond.
