Veterans Day event to be held in Kinston

A Veterans Day covered dish supper will be held in Kinston at the former Expressions/Brody's building at the Vernon Park Mall on Monday at 7 p.m.
The event is open to all active military, veterans and the community Wayne, Greene and Lenoir communities.
There will be entertainment and prizes.
The event is free although organizers are asking attendees to bring a food or beverage item, whether a covered meat, veggie, or dessert dish, bag of chips or 2-liter drink.
The celebration is being sponsored by Veterans Challenge, located at Vernon Park Mall.

Any loans or donations of chairs would be appreciated. The building will be open starting at 4 p.m. for anyone needing to come early to bring items or to set up.
