The American Legion Riders are sponsoring turkey shoots on Fridays through mid-December.

Proceeds from the shoots will go to the organization's two major charities, the Wounded Warrior Project of N.C. and The Legacy Scholarship for children of fallen soldiers.

Shoots begin at 7 p.m.

Ten identical guns will be available to provide for fair and square fun for the whole family.

Prizes include meals, gift cards, turkeys and more.

Free chili and cornbread also will be available. There will be a dessert raffle and 50/50 drawing. The events are designed to be fast paced with no long waits.

They are being held at American Legion Post 11 at 2953 U.S. 117 Alternate South. For more information, call 919-222-4993.
