Volunteers are sought to help prepare the Wayne County Public Library garden for autumn.
A community garden workday is planned for 9 a.m. Saturday. Volunteers will help with cleaning and weeding. Volunteers are asked to meet at the garden by the Jackson Street parking lot entrance, and bring water bottles and garden tools if possible.
The garden is used for educational programs. It is a collaborative project of the Wayne County Public Library, Center for Environmental Farming Systems and N.C. Cooperative Extension Service.
