A week will separate the openings of two adjoining businesses on Berkeley Boulevard, with U.S. Cellular announcing that it will open its retail store today -- seven days before Olive Garden next door will begin serving customers.
The store is at the corner of North Berkeley Boulevard and Mall Road at the former location of Sears Auto Center.
The U.S. Cellular retail store on Spence Avenue will relocate to the new location, which a release said will elevate the customer experience by allowing visitors to the store better opportunities to try out the company's newest devices.
Olive Garden is scheduled to open Monday, Oct. 22.
U.S. Cellular also recently received a conditional use permit allowing the cell phone company to erect a communications tower at the corner of New Hope and Central Heights roads, and earlier this year premiered its 4G network in Wayne County.
