Man, 27, shot, killed on city street

A 27-year-old man from Dudley became the 11th murder victim in the city of Goldsboro at 1 a.m. today.
Goldsboro police are investigating the shooting of Joseph Lamont Bunch II of 604 Mobile Circle. He was found in the 600 block of East Elm Street.
Officers were en route to a shots fired call in the vicinity of East Elm and Leslie streets when the call was elevated to a person shot.
When they arrived on scene, Bunch was found on the sidewalk.
Wayne County EMS also responded and transported the victim to Wayne Memorial Hospital, where he later died.
With Bunch, according to the police report, was Jacquarius Sequan Howell, 21, of Goldsboro. Howell is listed as the victim of an assault with a deadly weapon, but the report states he was uninjured.
Police are not discussing if there was a motive for the shooting or if there are any suspects in the case at this time.
