Burglary

At about 12:15 p.m. Monday, Loren Ashley Elliot, 19, 400 block East Hillcrest Drive, reported to police that someone attempted to break into her home the night before.

She'd been watching television Sunday before midnight when she heard banging a her door and what sounded like hammering against the deadbolt.

Elliot turned off the lights and looked out a window in time to see a the figure of a man in short sleeves running away.

Stolen guns

A silver P94 Ruger and a black 12-gauge Mossberg shotgun were stolen from a vehicle late Sunday or early Monday.

According to a report filed with the Goldsboro Police Department, Tamika Rasheeda Flood-Coleman, 33, 103 W. Lockhaven Drive, left her 1999 GMC Suburban unlocked between 7 p.m. Sunday and 2:30 p.m. Monday. During that time, thieves were able to enter the vehicle and remove a metal lock box which contain the two weapons.

The total value of the box and the weapons was listed at $591.00.
