Dentist office copper theft

Patients will be sweating the dentist office but not due to fear. An unknown suspect cut and removed the $5,000 air conditioning unit from behind the building at 210 N. Herman St., office of Linda McCaskill, D.O. The unit was only six months old. Thieves took the fuse as well.

Robberies investigated

*A 42-inch television was the only thing stolen Wednesday when thieves broke into the home of Yonda Gena Wooten of South Audubon Street. The crooks entered by smashing and crawling through a bathroom window and left with the $2,000 TV in tow, through the back door.

*A similar break-in occurred later on Prince Avenue, at the home of Mattie Devaughn Jones. Robbers entered by smashing the glass from a window and exiting through a damaged back door. This time the thieves fled with two TVs and other items. The value of the stolen goods, plus the damage, exceeded $800.
