A new resource networking group is starting in Goldsboro -- Wayne County Community Resource Connections.

This group is designed to allow agencies that provide services to older adults, their caregivers and adults ages 18 and older with disabilities the opportunity to network and work together to provide county residents the best information and services possible.

The group's opening health fair, sponsored by the Eastern Carolina Council for Services on Aging, will be from 9 a.m. to noon, Thursday, Aug. 23, at Madison Avenue Baptist Church, 300 S. Madison Ave.

There will be information booths, speakers, entertainment, food and free raffles.

The goal of the group is to strengthen relationships between existing providers and streamline service access.
