Assault charge
Jesse Lee Garner, 55, 730 Longleaf Avenue, was charged by Goldsboro police for assault with a deadly weapon following and altercation with Arnold Lee Garner, 52, of the same residence. The victim was stabbed in the left shoulder and later transported to Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Home shot into
An unknown subject fired a bullet into the home of Joyce Ann Artis, 52, 601 S. Oleander Avenue, while she and her two sons were home. The bullet struck but did not penetrate the front door of the residence.
Stolen car
A black 2006 Dodge Charger was stolen Sunday. Keri Alexis Edwards reported that unknown suspects removed the vehicle from the driveway of her mothers home, that the vehicle was locked at the time of the theft and that she possessed the only key.
Investigations
These reports are being investigated by Goldsboro police:
*An unknown subject forcibly entered a shed, according to homeowner Andrew McKinnie Jr., 62, of Alvin Street, and removed a $200 John Deere push mower and two weedeaters valued at $98. Damage to the shed door was estimated at $50.
*Clifton Lee Brewington, representing Praise Prayer Worship the Revolution Center on N. John Street, said an alarm at the site was activated and upon investigating, discovered the theft of a $200 air conditioning unit, $28 air compresser and miscellaneous copper pipes.
*James Justin Chavis of Tampa, Florida reported the theft of a $350 laptop computer and $200 air card from an unsecured vehicle while on W. Lockhaven Drive.
*At Personal Storage on U.S. 117 N. Bypass, James Earl Stott of Davis Street, Mount Olive said he encountered a black man in his storage locker. Stott said he approached the man, who claimed it was his locker and he could produce paperwork to prove it. Before he could do so, he and another man left the premises with Stott's property, which included a $600 four-cylinder aluminum head and $129 alternator.
*Greg Foster, 55, of N. Merion Drive, reported the theft of $1,800 air conditioning unit from a rental property.
*Kenny Lyn Igleheart of Ashworth Drive told police that several copper tubes were removed from the Salvation Army property, which was in the process of installing new air conditioning units.
*Wiley Parker, 73, N. Cottonwood Drive, reported damages to an air conditioning unit and the theft of $300 worth of miscellaneous copper wires and coils from a property on the 1900 block of N. John Court. Damages to the unit were estimated at $3,900.
