Fourth of July closings

The Goldsboro News-Argus will be closed Wednesday for the July Fourth holiday and no paper will be published, but the newspaper will reopen Thursday for normal business.
Local, state and federal offices, including banks and the post office, also will be closed Wednesday in observance of the holiday.
Wayne County offices, including the landfill and convenience sites, will be closed.
Wayne County commissioners have canceled their July 3 and 17 meetings and will instead meet July 10 in their meeting room on the fourth floor of the county courthouse annex. An agenda briefing will be held at 8 a.m. followed by the meeting at 9 a.m.
Town halls in Goldsboro, Mount Olive, Eureka, Fremont, Pikeville, Seven Springs and Walnut Creek will be closed on Wednesday.
Trash pickup will be delayed by one day in Mount Olive. Thursday's route will be picked up on Friday and Friday's route will be picked up on Saturday.
The recyclable center will be closed on Wednesday and will reopen on Friday at 8 a.m.
Fremont recyclables will be picked up on Thursday instead of Wednesday.
Herman Park Center will not be open Wednesday and the Mount Olive Parks and Recreation department also will be closed.
