Airmen get invite to fireworks

Some will watch them from their back porch.
Others will see them explode above a North Carolina battleship.
And many more will view, on television screens, the many fireworks displays that have become an Independence Day hallmark.
But for a small delegation from Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, this particular July Fourth will be unlike any they have ever experienced.
And it's all thanks to their commander in chief.
More than 20 local airmen and military dependents have been invited to attend the "Salute to the Military" celebration at the White House next Wednesday -- the president's way of thanking them for their service and sacrifice.
