Cliffs swimming area set to open

Closed for several months for repair work on the dam, Cliffs of the Neuse State Park's lake will open for swimming Saturday.
Hours are Monday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Park ranger Candace Rose said the lake will be open an hour later than in previous seasons to allow families to go swimming in the evenings.
Kayaks, canoes and paddleboats will also be available to rent for $5 an hour from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
