*Employee Earl Artis reported rain gutters, valued at $1,000, stolen from Dillard Academy at 504 W. Elm St. The gutters were pulled off the side of the building between Wednesday afternoon and Thursday morning.
*Cathy Best reported theft of a $3,000 1997 Chevrolet Lumina from a home in the 400 block of Stronach Avenue that occurred between Wednesday and Thursday. The vehicle was a rental, Ms. Best told authorities, that she left by with the doors unsecured and the keys laying under the floor mat outside of her home at the time of the theft.
The car was later located at 3199 US 117 by Goldsboro police. No damage was noted by Ms. Best after the vehicle was recovered.
