Streetscape work begins

Work on the Center Street Streetscape project began this morning and will result in the 200 north block of the street being blocked off at its intersections with Mulberry Street and Ash Street at the traffic circle.
Parking for Pet Village and City Hall on the east side of the street will be available in the City Hall rear parking lot or along Mulberry Street, reachable via James or John streets.
Direct Carpet customers can park along Ash Street and access to the Little Bank parking lot on the west side of Center Street will remain open throughout construction.
The above-ground work on the site will continue for two weeks before construction shifts to the next phase. Construction is scheduled to conclude Oct. 15.
