Deputies investigate damage to home

James Bridges reported an incident of property damage at his rental property in the 300 block of West Pine Street. that took place on Saturday or Sunday after he evicted the residents from the property.

When Bridges went to the property on Sunday he found water was left running, furniture turned over, trash thrown about the home and stuffed into the ventilation system.

The property damaged during the incident included a toilet, sink, flooring and duct work. The value of the damages was reported at more than $4,550.

Bridges supplied the name of the previous tenants to authorities.

B&E and larcenies

*India Frett reported the theft of a $1,500 air conditioner from her home in the 1400 block of Old Grantham Road that occurred Saturday.

*Nathaniel Ford reported a breaking and entering to his vehicle, two storage barns and his home in the 500 block of Pecan Road in Dudley that occurred Monday or Tuesday. Property stolen during the break-in was valued at $4,400 and included copper coils taken from a heat pump, two chest freezers and a 240-watt stereo amplifier.

*James Pate reported the theft of a wire bundle, valued at $1,000, from an AT&T terminal box located in an open area at 2247 N. Berkeley Blvd. that occurred Monday or Tuesday.

*Cathy Nichols reported the theft of an $850 laptop and 10 PlayStation 3 video games, valued at $500, from her vehicle at her home in the 100 block of Perry Drive that occurred between March 31 and April 1.

*Ervin Mewborn Jr. reported the larceny of a $500 Heritage Rough Rider .22-caliber Magnum handgun, blue in color. Mewborn told authorities he left the gun in a building at 1164 N. Beston Road in LaGrange after horse riding on April 22 and returned the next day to find the firearm missing.
