Recent fires investigated as arson

Officials with the Wayne County Sheriff's Office confirmed Wednesday that two recent house fires on Durham Lake Road in Dudley appear to be arsons.
"At this time we do believe the fires were set," Maj. Tom Effler said.
The Sheriff's Office is conducting investigations at both homes, located in the 500 and 700 blocks, which were burned hours apart Wednesday morning.
Effler said investigators are currently pursuing multiple leads. He said evidence, possibly accelerant used by the suspect(s), taken from each scene has been sent to the SBI for testing.
