Streetscape vote set for today's meeting

The fate of the city's signature downtown revitalization project will be decided today after months of discussions, debates and delays.
The Goldsboro City Council will vote on awarding the bid for the Center Street Streetscape project during a special meeting at 4 p.m. in Historic City Hall. The project seeks to renovate the 200 block of North Center Street.
The second round of bids revealed Daniels and Daniels Construction to have the lowest estimate. Those bids will expire after today, spawning the special meeting this afternoon. The council delayed the vote from Monday because all council members were not present.
