Handgun assault

Anthony McNair reported that while he was walking in the 300 block of South John Street about 8:15 p.m. Monday, a man in a black mask pulled up on a blue moped, removed a pistol from his coat and pointed the firearm at him.

B&Es and larcenies

*Vy Tran reported a break-in and theft of four vehicles at his home in the 200 block of Nancy Drive that occurred between Jan. 1 and Monday. Tran was alerted by an impound lot in Greenville that one of his vehicles was at the location. During the break-in, $3,000 in damage was caused to the home while $10,000 of wiring was removed. The total value of the four stolen vehicles was reported at $9,200.

*Stacy Shaver reported a break-in at her home in the 2000 block of Antioch Road in Pikeville that occurred Monday. Entry was made into the home by breaking a bedroom window. The stolen property included jewelry, a 32-inch TV, a PlayStation game console and video games. The total value of the stolen items was more than $2,300.

*Brianna Reid reported a break-in at her home in the 100 block of Bayshore Pointe in Mount Olive. The incident took place on Monday. The value of the stolen property was valued at $4,100, which included two TVs, two laptops and an XBOX game console. The back door of the home was broken into to gain entry.

*Marvin Jackson reported the theft of $1,500 of copper pipe from his home in the 300 block of E. Chestnut St. that occurred between Saturday and Monday. The piping was removed from underneath the home after a crawl space door was broken into.

*Sonic restaurant employee Kevin Zachary reported the theft of $6,160.03 from the eatery at 440 N. Berkeley Blvd. The theft took place between Dec. 25 and Dec. 26.

*Elroy Coley, of Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, located at 318 Denmark St., reported $1,000 of copper pipe that occurred between Jan. 30 and Saturday. The piping was ripped from the heating and a/c unit.
