School theft
Martin Juarez, an employee of Baker Mechanical Inc, reported the theft of copper welding cables and brass couples near the boiler room of Rosewood Middle School, located at 541 N.C. 581 S. The theft occurred between Monday and Tuesday. According to the report, someone cut six different welding cables leading into the boiler room and removed the cables from the welding machines. The couplings were also removed from the welders. The stolen property had a total value of more than $7,500.
Firearms stolen
John Payne Jr. reported the theft of three firearms from his vehicle while it was parked at a business at 1202 Parkway Drive Wednesday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. The stolen firearms included a blue KelTec .32-caliber pistol, a black and pink .380-caliber pistol and a Glock model 23 .40-caliber semi-automatic. The total value of the firearms was listed at more than $1,300.
