Jewelry stolen
Jose Lopez of Pineview Cemetary Road in Seven Springs told deputies that $10,000 of jewelry was stolen from his house when he returned to his home. Lopez, 36, questioned three white males who were in his yard when he arrived, who told him "We have the wrong house." Lopez said the three then ran and drove away in a blue SUV with the license tag AEY-1015. Lopez said he followed the suspects until they lost him heading south on Highway 405 toward Duplin County. Lopez said the assorted gold jewelry, necklaces, rings and bracelets were in a jewelry box in a bedroom.
Counterfeit bill
Monyetta Bizzell, 25, of Rosewood Road told Goldsboro Police that an unknown suspect came into First Citizens Bank on East Ash Street and attempted to exchange a $5 bill for change. Ms. Bizzell recognized the bill was counterfeit and informed the suspect of this. The suspect asked to see the bill, claiming he had never seen counterfeit money before. Ms. Bizzell returned the bill to the suspect, informing him that it was policy that she had to keep it. The suspect said he would be keeping it because he thought it was "cool" and then left the bank heading in an unknown direction.
Four-wheelers stolen
Mark Jamison, 23 of Westchester, Ohio, told Goldsboro Police that three four-wheelers were stolen from his trailer in the parking lot of Econo Lodge on Corporate Drive between 11:40 p.m. Dec. 9 and Dec. 10 at 7:10 a.m. Two Yamaha vehicles and one Suzuki vehicle were listed as stolen, with the total amount of goods stolen estimated at $15,000.
