Robbery near Herman Park

Michael Cross, 44, reported that he was robbed while in the 800 block of Argo Street around 10:50 a.m. Friday.

He told police that while he was walking, a burgundy Dodge Caravan pulled up next to him and the occupants of the vehicle said, "Hey, hey." Each of the three suspects in vehicle then held up 9-mm pistols at him.

He was told to get in the vehicle, where he handed over his cell phone and $50 and was hit in the right side of the head with a firearm.

Cross was taken to the hospital for the injury to his head, according to the report.

Shooting in Dudley

Reinald Price, of Dudley, reported that he was struck in the foot by a bullet while walking on South Running Deer Lane in the Pleasant Acres mobile home community, around 10:30 p.m. Sunday

He also told police he heard gunfire in the distance then felt an object strike his foot. Price contacted a friend who took him to Wayne Memorial Hospital, where he was treated for the gunshot.

B&Es and larcenies

*A dog used to protect a vacant property was reported strangled during a break-in. Nellie Hall reported the incident, which occurred at a property she owns in the 1900 block of Emmaus Church Road in Dudley. The dog is kept at the home to deter break-ins, according to the report. It was reported that nothing was stolen from the furnished home, but the ladder that provides access to the attic was pulled down. The breed of the dog was not specified, but it was valued at $300.

*Wilburn Rutledge reported a break-in at his home in the 1700 block of Rosewood Road between Friday and Saturday. The stolen property was removed from a horse barn and carport on the property. The stolen items included three chainsaws, a Weed Eater, a pressure washer and four fishing rods. The total value of the stolen property was more than $1,400.

*Lawrence Williams reported the theft of a Glock 17 semi-automatic 9-mm handgun from his home in the 300 block of Bridle Path Drive between late November and Thursday. Also removed from the home were a nylon holster and two 17-round magazines. Williams does not know who removed the items from his bedroom.

*Donald Brown reported a break-in at his workshop at his home in the 200 block of Becton Circle between Friday and Sunday. While Brown was out of town, a suspect(s) entered the shop and cut out $900 of copper wiring and stole a $300 stereo system.

* Salomon Estevez reported the theft of a $600 semi-automatic 9-mm handgun. The gun was taken from Estevez's home in the 8000 block of Summit Drive between Nov. 25 and Sunday.

*Sherry Shelby, of Cardinal Point Real Estate, reported the theft of an a/c heat pump from a home in the 100 block of Fisher Drive. Ms. Shelby checks on the foreclosed home for an out-of-state owner, according to the report The value of the unit was reported at $4,500. The theft occurred at an unknown time in the last several months.

*Antonio Wooten reported the theft of a .380 semi-automatic firearm from his vehicle parked at his home in the 300 block or Forest Drive between Nov. 26 and Nov. 28.
