Parkstown parade set for this Thursday

The annual Parkstown Christmas Parade is scheduled for Thursday at 3:45 p.m.
This year the community's veterans are being honored.
Grand Marshals representing the military branches are Ezra Jackson Jr. (Air Force), Frank Gardner (Army), Eduardo Jackson (Marines) and James "Dick" Bowden, who is a former parade chairman, (Navy).
Hot dogs and gift bags will be provided for children. Food for adults will be for sale.
Professional pictures with "Santa" will be offered for a minimal fee and will be available for same-day pickup.
A fireworks display sponsored by the JPC Foundation in memory of the late Samuel M. Jackson, parade founder will begin at 6pm.
There are no entry fees for participation. However, donations are appreciated. Contributions can be mailed to: Parkstown Christmas Parade, c/o Andrew Jackson (parade/finance chairman), 107 Rosa Lane, LaGrange, N.C. 28551.
