Weekend business break-ins
The Internet cafe, 24/7 Internet Business Center, located at 207 S. Berkeley Blvd., was broken in Saturday between 2 a.m. and 7 a.m. The suspect stole $2,500 in cash and a camera system valued at $700. The damaged property included a $2,000 cash reload machine.
Two dirt bikes valued at $4,400 were stolen from Power Sport at 2510 E. Ash St. between Thursday and Friday. The suspect broke out glass of front window to gain access. According to the police report, the business opened Friday.
The Wayne County Museum was broken into between Friday and Saturday. The building at 116 N. William St. was entered after the suspect broke through the glass and bars of a bathroom window. According to a police report, the suspect first tried to break in by breaking a rear window and by prying open a maintenance door. Two cash boxes containing $75 were stolen. The reported damage to the two windows was listed at $300.
Woman robbed of pocket change
A 43-year-old woman contacted police after being beaten up by three people on Sunday. The victim told police she was walking down Casey Mill Road when the assailants pulled her down a dirt path, assaulted her and robbed her of 37 cents.
The report states that the woman was extremely intoxicated at the time of the report.
