Three charged in armed robbery

Three men have been charged in the armed robbery of two 16-year-old boys around 11 p.m. Friday in the 1600 block of Beech Street.

The three suspects have been charged with robbery of a dangerous weapon and each of them have been placed under a $50,000 secured bond.

Those arrested by Goldsboro police are De'Aron Jerlvonte Parks, 17, of Creech Street; Kumani Najai Lewis, 20, of Old Grantham Road; and Jonathan Earl Midgette, 19, of Maple Street.

Police located the suspects, who were together, in the 600 block of Madison Avenue.

A police report listed all the suspects as Wayne Community College students.

A "show up" was conducted and a positive identification was made by one of the victims, according to a report.

Man makes threat with gun to steal beer

A unidentified man pushed a grocery cart with five cases of beer out of the Food Lion on West Grantham Street around 10 p.m. Saturday.

When store employees approached the man, he told them to back up because he had a gun. An off duty Sheriff's Office deputy was on the scene, according the police report.

The man ran off into the woods and was not taken into custody. Food Lion recovered its beer.

Two rob barber shop

Jefferson Park Barber Shop, at 1603 Royall Avenue, was held up by two unidentified men around 3 p.m. Friday.

At least one shotgun was used during the robbery.

One of victims told police that the two men entered the business and made demands at gun point. The suspects made the victims remove all of the items from their pockets.

The report listed five individuals as victims. The victims included at a 70-, 72- ,76-, and 81-year-old.

The suspects made off with $251 in cash.

Two hospitalized in Teasers fight

A man and a woman were hospitalized after being cut with a razor while inside of Teasers nightclub on N.C. 117 South. The incident took place around 2 a.m. Sunday.

The female victim told police that she was cut in her back after a fight had broken out. When she turned around she was also cut on the face. She later received 16 stitches in her face and 22 stitches in her back Wayne Memorial Hospital. The man was cut on the upper arm and was bandaged.

The suspect was listed as an unidentified female.

Work truck stolen

A cargo truck was stolen from the parking lot of UCI Goldsboro in the 1200 block of West Grantham Street around 1 p.m. Saturday. The truck, which belonged to UCI, was parked, unlocked and running. The value of the truck was a reported at $35,000.
