A family caregiver support program will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 22, at the Waynesboro Historical Village, 801 U.S. 117 South.
The goal of the program, titled "Take Time to Laugh and Play," is to give unpaid family caregivers a chance to regroup with informational programs, recreation and relaxation. Assistance is available for care of dependent family members during the retreat, but arrangements must be made in advance.
The program will include laughter therapy, stress management, games, prayer groups, crafts, nature trail, long-term planning and food. It is geared toward people caring for adults 60 years old and older.
