North Carolina Education Lottery officials announced Thursday that a Wayne County man was one of this week's big winners as he scratched off $100,000 Monday on his 10X The Money ticket.

According to a news release sent by the lottery commission, Andrey Gris-wold of LaGrange purchased his winning ticket at the Wilco station on East Ash Street. The $100,000 is one of five top prize in the 10X The Money game.

Griswold, who, speaking through commission declined to be contacted, did say that he thought he was dreaming when he realized he had won, and that he was "still dreaming" when he collected his winnings at the N.C. Education Lottery's headquarters in Raleigh this week.

After taxes, Griswold took home $68,001.

As of Thursday afternoon, lottery officials said, four top prizes remain in the game.

Through the end of the 2010 fiscal year, the latest that officials had information available, there are 115 vendors selling lottery tickets in Wayne County. And in the lottery's then-four-year history, nearly $46 million in prize money had been paid out to winners with tickets purchased in Wayne County.
