Jayna Beamon stays cool Wednesday by playing in the water at the pool at Lane Tree Golf Club. Temperatures were expected to soar to 100 degrees today, with a heat index near 108. A heat advisory is in effect from 11 a.m. today until 8 p.m. An excessive heat watch for the area is in effect through Friday.
