Burglar lured by fishing shop
EZ Bait & Tackle, located at 2049 N.C. 117 South, was burglarized between 8 p.m. Tuesday and 4:56 a.m. Wednesday.
Deputies with the Wayne County Sheriff's Office responded to an alarm at the fishing supply shop Wednesday morning where they found a metal door frame pried open and glass cases damaged inside the business.
While the inventory was still being reviewed, at least two $300 fishing reels were reported stolen.
