Grantham business claims embezzlement
Grantham Supply and Pizza Inn Express, located in the 3300 block of U.S. 13 South, contacted the Wayne County Sheriff's Office for suspicions of embezzlement. The report listed that $14,000 had been embezzled from the business by a former employee between January 2010 and May 2011.
Thieves take lawn equipment
A vacant building in the 300 block of South Center Street was broken into between June 17 and 20. The suspect(s) stole a lawn mower and weed eater, which had combined a value of $400.
The suspect(s) gained entry into the building by throwing a brick through the building's storefront window, causing $500 in damage.
