Memorial Day closings announced

Local, state and federal government offices, along with most banks, will be closed Monday in observance of the Memorial Day holiday, including the following:
* Wayne County Public Schools
* Wayne County government offices
* The city of Goldsboro (All sanitation services scheduled to be conducted on Monday will take place on Wednesday.)
* The county landfill and convenience dropoff sites
* The Town of Pikeville
* The Town of Fremont
*The Town of Mount Olive
* The Town of Calypso
* The Town of Princeton (trash pickup will be delayed one day, to June 2)
*Waste Industries solid waste pickup will not be affected by the holiday.
