Elderly woman has $10K in cash stolen
An 87-year-old Dudley woman filed a report with the Wayne County Sheriff's Office Tuesday claiming a breaking and entering and larceny.
The woman claims someone had pried open her back windows and removed a $50 DVD player, and that $10,000 in cash hidden under her barn had also been taken, according to report.
Hotel victim of armed robbery
An employee of Country Hearth Inn & Suites on Corporate Drive was robbed of $450 Tuesday around 9 p.m.
The clerk stated to police that the suspect entered the business, jumped over the counter, assaulted him, and took the money. The clerk also said that the suspect had an unknown type of weapon on his right side, according to a police report.
