Youth Council receives awards

Several local youths received awards at the spring convention of the State Youth Council at Carolina Beach.
The convention was sponsored by the Youth Advocacy and Involvement Office and hosted by the Cary Teen Council.
The Goldsboro Mayor's Youth Council was named the Most Diverse Youth Council in the state and the Goldsboro organization also took third place in Quarterly Project Awards. Also, Andre Elliott Jr. of Goldsboro was elected secretary of the state organization.
