A Four Oaks man has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting and kidnapping a Goldsboro woman in April and May.
Walter V. Cogdell, 48, was charged Wednesday with two counts of second-degree kidnapping, three counts of second-degree rape, and assault on a female by the Goldsboro police.
Police believe Cogdell, Battle Field Road, and the 48-year-old alleged victim to have a history of a long-term, domestic relationship.
The woman filed a report with the Goldsboro police on Tuesday, said police officials.
Cogdell is charged with kidnapping for allegedly holding the woman against her will at her residence in May for three days, and for a lesser time in April.
He was arrested at his home in Four Oaks by the Johnson County Sheriff's Office, and due to the domestic circumstances of the case, police said, Cogdell is being at the Wayne County Jail.
Cogdell is being held without bond.
