Woman wins $50,000 in lottery

ShaQuanya Hutcherson became Goldsboro's newest big winner in the North Carolina Education Lottery when she claimed her $50,000 prize from playing "Jumbo Bucks," an instant scratch-off game.
The area's big winner remains David Gurley who claimed $129,902 when he matched all five "Carolina Cash Five" numbers in December.
Hutcherson purchased her $10 "Jumbo Bucks" ticket from the Five Points Food Mart on U.S. 13 South,.
She could not be reached for comment, but said in her questionnaire that she would use her winnings to pay bills.
Through June 30 of last year, Wayne County players had won more than $45.9 million in prizes playing the lottery and education programs in Wayne County have received more than $23.3 million.
