That's not what friends are for
A 28-year-old man filed a report with Goldsboro police on an armed robbery on Thursday, saying the man who robbed him had pretended to want to be his friend.
The victim told police he received a phone call from the suspect who asked him if he wanted to get together to "hang out." The suspect told the man to meet him in the parking lot of the Friendly Mart at N.C. 111 South and Spring Bank Road.
At approximately 7:40 p.m., the man and his girlfriend arrived and saw the suspect sitting behind the wheel of a light blue, green Dodge Caravan. The man entered the suspect's van, at which point a second suspect pointed a semiautomatic pistol at him and demanded money.
The victims handed over his wallet. The victim said the gun-wielding suspect then told him he had 10 seconds to get out of the van. The man left the vehicle and the suspects drove off.
