Dudley man, 21, faces sex charge involving minor

A Dudley man has been charged with 12 counts of sexual offense involving a girl between the ages of 12 and 13 years old.
Wayne County Sheriff's Office investigators say Adam Lee Mitchell, 21, of U.S. 13 South, is believed to have known the child, and is being charged in connection with a series of offenses that took place over the last year.
After an anonymous report of an on-going sexual assault involving a child was made to the Sheriff's Office, the child's family members were contacted by authorities, and an official report was made, investigators said.
Mitchell has been charged with three counts of first-degree rape of a child, three counts of statutory rape, three counts of statutory sexual offense and three counts of disseminating obscene material to a minor.
He is being held in the Wayne County Jail under $100,000 secured bond.
The investigation is continuing and other arrests are possibly pending, detectives said.
