For the next two days, members of the Goldsboro City Council will focus, among other things, on the future, as the board began its annual retreat this morning at City Hall.
The purpose of the meeting -- one set to end at 5 p.m. Thursday -- is to give department heads and other key employees the opportunity to discuss with elected officials, at length, issues that will impact residents in both the short and long term.
Among the items on the council's agenda are street paving priorities, an update from the Goldsboro Police Department and an analysis of the city's finances.
The board is also scheduled to take in a presentation regarding potential expansion of city cemeteries.
