Parkstown celebrates

Trombone players perform with the Charles B. Aycock High School Marching Band during the fifth annual Parkstown Christmas Parade Thursday afternoon. Hundreds lined the roadway in the eastern Wayne County neighborhood to enjoy the old-fashioned parade. There are still several local parades scheduled: the Cherry-O'Berry Parade today at 3:30, the Faison parade Saturday at 5 p.m., and the Eureka parade Sunday at 3 p.m.
